ABOUT US

Vagad Vision Development Society is a non-profit, non-government development organization committed to prevent and treat preventable blindness and educate the people for eye health and eye donation in Vagad area. VVDS was established in Rajasthan and registered in 2007 under the Rajasthan Societies Registration Act 1961 and serving the people since 14 years.

The idea of a establishing the VVDS charitable trust was born out of the necessity of providing quality eye care to sections of the rural population who don’t have access to any primary eye care and they have to travel long distances out of their villages to consult even a primary eye care provider leave alone an ophthalmologist. It was disheartening to see that much of this medically deprived population comprised of young school children – who wouldn’t have normal visual & personal development without early diagnosis & treatment of their ocular problems; adults in the productive phases of their lives – who are unaware or ignorant of the advancements occurring in the field of ophthalmology and who would have wasted their most productive years in the realms of darkness; and senior citizens in the twilight zone of their lives who are dependent on their children and relatives, both economically & socially.

In the backdrop of this situation,VagadVision Development Society established by MR. Kuldeep Bhatt with guidance of Dr. Rajendra Prasad, to provide comprehensive, affordable and quality eye care services to the most needy – at their doorsteps, to start a modern eye clinic andcommunity eye care service delivery programs.
